We know money is important, and we've put this first because it's important to us too. We review rates annually, looking at the latest market rates to ensure you're paid what you are worth. We of course make KiwiSaver contributions, reward staff for long service (6 years or more) with an extra week's pay every year, and if we've had a great year, you’ll usually get a pay increase and bonus.

We're big on apprentices, growing great tradies, and ensuring your well trained, well-rounded and well looked after. If everything goes according to plan, there are plenty of wage increases throughout your apprenticeship, and we pay for lots of the extras too.

Keeping you safe

Ensuring you are safe and providing you with all the training and tools is critically important. Our Health and Safety management system is based on ISO 4801, which is reviewed annually. We provide our tradespeople with Sitesafe & first aid training. We also hold regular health and safety trainings.

Staff satisfaction

At Foleys, we believe length of service is a great indication of loyalty and happiness. So, we're very proud that nearly 15% of our team have been with us for more than a decade, and we thank our staff with a bonus (typically $1,000 for their 10th anniversary, and $500 every 5th anniversary after that). Every two years we survey all our staff to gauge where we are as an employer. We consistently see our staff loving working for us, and any areas of improvement are noted and actioned. This is something we always focus on, looking after our people better.
