Electrical services for a live Corrections redevelopment
Foleys delivered electrical services as part of the enabling works programme for the Christchurch Men’s Prison redevelopment, working alongside Naylor Love on an active Corrections site.
The scope included the relocation of existing services and electrical installation works associated with new modular facilities, workshops, offices, shower blocks, and farm buildings outside the main prison wire.
Working within the prison environment requires extensive planning before works commence. The Foleys team worked within Corrections access requirements, including security clearances, permits, controlled site access, and tool tracking procedures.
The project also included support for associated services, including the relocation of LPG infrastructure and the installation of heat pump systems for modular accommodation buildings.
This project forms part of a staged redevelopment programme delivered within a live Corrections environment.
