Mechanical Maintenance and BWOF Compliance for Waipapa Hospital

Foleys delivers services across complex operational environments. Our mechanical maintenance team has supported Waipapa Hospital for over three years.

Foleys is engaged to deliver Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) maintenance services, including inspection and servicing of ventilation systems, cooling towers, pumps, heat pumps, and associated plant. The scope also includes regular filter maintenance, annual compliance inspections, and staged testing of critical components such as fire dampers across the facility.

The work is delivered within a live hospital environment, requiring careful coordination with clinical staff to ensure minimal disruption to day-to-day operations. Maintenance activities are scheduled around operational requirements, including restricted access areas such as operating theatres, isolation rooms, and specialist facilities.

Foleys provides a consistent and responsive service, combining planned maintenance with ad hoc works, including small installations and system upgrades. The result is a coordinated maintenance approach that supports compliance, system performance, and the ongoing operation of a critical healthcare facility.

With ongoing works at Waipapa Hospital, Foleys has now been engaged to provide mechanical maintenance services at additional healthcare facilities, including Hillmorton Hospital.

This continued engagement reflects the confidence Health New Zealand places in Foleys’ ability to deliver compliant mechanical maintenance within complex healthcare environments.
