Leak detection

Unusually high water usage, reduced water pressure or rising water bills can all be signs of a hidden leak. Our leak detection services help identify plumbing leaks quickly and accurately, helping prevent ongoing water loss and property damage.
Our Canterbury and Dunedin team uses sensitive acoustic listening devices and non-toxic tracer gas technology to detect leaks with minimal disruption, including in hard-to-access areas.
Leak detection services are $275 + GST, including travel within the Christchurch or Dunedin metropolitan area, the first hour of labour and use of the detection equipment. Additional labour and travel outside these areas are charged separately.

Response times vary depending on your location, the urgency of the issue and current workload. For emergency plumbing issues, our team will prioritise attendance as quickly as possible. For general maintenance and planned work, our team will arrange a suitable time with you.
Can you replace hot water cylinders?
Yes. We replace existing hot water cylinders on a like-for-like basis and can also advise on alternative hot water solutions. Depending on your household requirements, this may include upgrading to a more energy-efficient option such as a heat pump hot water system.
Do you work on renovations?
Yes. Our team supports kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations, from minor plumbing alterations through to full plumbing design and installation. We also provide design and build services for new homes and major renovation projects, including plumbing drawings and documentation required for council consent applications where needed.

Yes. If you are experiencing unusually high-water usage, reduced water pressure or rising water bills, our team can investigate and help locate hidden leaks using specialised leak detection equipment.

Our team will discuss this with you before work begins.
